FINE ANTIQUE & MODERN JEWELLERY

Mario Buccellati Diamond Bracelet, Circa 1925

The articulating strap with pierced links of floral and foliate 'modellato' detail, issuing rose-cut diamond leaves, mounted in silver and gold, signed M. Buccellati.

In 1919, Mario Buccellati bought the company Beltrami & Besnati, where he began his career as an apprentice at the age of twelve, and opened his first jewellery boutique in Largo Santa Margherita, Milan. His work gained recognition among the nobility and clergy. Following his success, he opened a second boutique in Rome in 1925.

This bracelet features Mario Buccellati's distinctive 'modellato' technique - a form of engraving and his use of precious metals of different colours, which remains one of the firm's signature hallmarks today.
